Abstract

[EN] The Museum of art of Teshima by the architect Ryue Nishizawa and the artist Rei Naito is a delicate work where nature, art and architecture are fused together. The museum represents what is shown, the image of a falling bead of water that is identifi ed in the exhibition “Matrix” by Naito, a metaphorical celebration of water as the beginning of life. Nishizawa models this exquisite fi gure using an oscillating shell, hanging in the air 40 X 60 m and 25 cm thick, 4.25 m from the fl oor at a highest point on which two luminescent glazes are carried out. It is a solemn and contemplative museum rooted in the depths of Japanese culture.

[ES] El Museo de Arte de Teshima del arquitecto Ryue Nishizawa y la artista Rei Naito es un frágil trabajo donde se funden naturaleza, arte y arquitectura. El museo representa aquello que expone, la imagen de una gota de agua cayendo que se identifica con la muestra “Matrix” de Naito, una celebración metafórica del agua como principio de vida. Nishizawa modela esta exquisita fi gura recurriendo a una cáscara oscilante, tendida al aire, de 40x60 m y 25 cm de espesor, a 4,25 m del suelo, sobre la que se practican dos veladuras luminiscentes. Se trata de un museo contemplativo y solemne arraigado en las raíces de la profunda cultura japonesa.
