Zape. La inercia de un sujeto entusiasta

Abstract

[EN] In this article we analyse the ways in which the independentexhibition space Zape, which arose with the aim of confronting certain typologies of exhibition spaces linked to the more elitist art system, attempts to contradict them through specific exhibition contents, codes and concepts. A sort of struggle against the violent dynamics inherent in the art system of the contemporary art world. To this end, we review the different projects carried out in the space, bringing to light its own contradictions and discovering a defeat that has been announced from the outset.

[ES] En este artículo analizamos los modos en el que el espacio expositivo independiente Zape, que surge con el objetivo de hacer frente a unas tipologías de espacios expositivos vinculados al sistema artístico más elitista, intenta contradecirlos mediante unos contenidos expositivos, códigos y conceptos específicos. Una suerte de lucha contra dinámicas violentas inherentes al sistema artístico del mundo del arte contemporáneo. Para ello, repasamos los diferentes proyectos realizados en el espacio, sacando a la luz sus propias contradicciones y descubriendo una derrota desde el inicio anunciada.
