Intervención arquitectónica en la nave de Macosa para uso cívico público

Abstract

[ES] El presente Trabajo Final de Máster trata de un proyecto de centro cívico público que surge de un extenso análisis territorial y social del ámbito entre los barrios de La Creu Coberta y Malilla, actualmente separados por las vías del ferrocarril. Partiendo del Masterplan de la estrategia Green Leaves , se elige como ubicación para el desarrollo del proyecto de Centro Cívico la Nave de MACOSA, por lo que la intervención del edificio propuesto se ha efectuado manteniendo el máximo respeto por la preexistencia, considerada como un bien patrimonial de la arquitectura industrial valenciana. Conjuntamente con la nave, el nuevo edificio propuesto constituye el edificio de centro cívico cuyo diseño aboga por promover el asociacionismo, la inclusión y participación ciudadana. Esto se traduce en la integración de espacios flexibles y polivalentes adaptables a las diversas actividades y necesidades de la comunidad; espacios de encuentro o actividades culturales y recreativas, además procura ser una construcción que aporte su grano de arena a la sostenibilidad; ya que las cubiertas de MACOSA y del nuevo edificio funcionan como captadores de energía solar y agua respectivamente para autoabastecerse. En definitiva, el edificio será un motor de cohesión social fomentando la inclusión, la participación ciudadana y la mejora del entorno urbano reforzando el concepto de comunidad.

[EN] This Master's thesis deals with a public civic center project that arises from an extensive territorial and social analysis of the area between the neighborhoods of La Creu Coberta and Malilla, currently separated by the railroad tracks. Based on the Masterplan of the Green Leaves strategy, the MACOSA building was chosen as the location for the development of the Civic Center project, so that the intervention of the proposed building has been carried out with the utmost respect for the pre-existence, considered as a heritage asset of Valencian industrial architecture. Together with the warehouse, the proposed new building constitutes the civic center building whose design advocates the promotion of associations, inclusion and citizen participation. This translates into the integration of flexible and multipurpose spaces adaptable to the various activities and needs of the community; meeting spaces or cultural and recreational activities, also seeks to be a construction that contributes to sustainability, as the roofs of MACOSA and the new building function as solar energy and water collectors respectively for self-sufficiency. In conclusion, the building will be an engine of social cohesion, fostering inclusion, citizen participation and the improvement of the urban environment, reinforcing the concept of community.
